Eunan Ryan with the much decorated 12 Year Old Single Malt that has just added a 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Gold to the 2014 Irish Whiskey Award. Jim Murray had given it 92.5/100 in the 2016 Whiskey Bible.
Jack Ryan Beggars Bush 12 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey was launched in 2013, to celebrate the centenary of the Ryan family ownership of the iconic, historic Beggars Bush pub on Haddington Road Ballsbridge in Dublin. To their delight, it promptly won the Irish Whiskey Award for ‘single malts 12 year-old or under’, following a stringent blind-taste test under the auspices of the Celtic Whiskey Club and the Irish Whiskey Society. The San Francisco World Spirits competition attracted more than 2,100 entries, and the Gold was awarded by a prestigious panel of industry experts.
Jack Ryan 12YO is available in Europe, North America and 16 other markets around the world, and is going from strength to strength. Jack Ryan would have been happy, as would his father Thomas Ryan, whose Ryan’s Malt was so popular in the locality all those years ago, revived now to multiple award-winning effect by grandson Eunan.
